The Window on the Past project was designed to create a link that was both visual and temporal in nature between the installation within the internal space of the museum and an outside courtyard space.
Users interact with a screen displaying a live camera feed of the external courtyard using a gestural control mechanism. Through this interaction, they can explore the artefacts in the courtyard in virtual form as well as interact with a digital representation of the courtyard from two distinct periods in its history.
